Anima Health: Redesigning App UI
Anima Health is a platform seeking to streamline the healthcare workflow, from improving clarity between doctor and patient to ensuring rapid diagnoses. They tasked me with proposing a redesign of their app's Clinician Dashboard to improve the overall look and usability of the design. Below I outline my process for doing just that (and maybe a little more).

Step 1: Understand the User
Based on a human-centred design approach, I wanted my design to be inspired by the users engaging with it. Considering I was focused on the Clinician Dashboard, I started by researching the conditions of general practitioners in the UK, where Anima is currently operating. Based on these results, I created the following user persona to inform my design.

Step 2: Evaluate Pain Points
With a better understanding of my user's situation, I returned to the original Clinician Dashboard to evaluate the potential pain points. To do this, I broke down the visual elements and information architecture and tried to track a few user flows, all to determine the usability of the design.

Step 3: Gather Ideas
To gain inspiration for addressing the identified issues, I created a quick mood board focused on a more balanced and intentional colour palette, simplified lists and varied notification and task alerts.

Step 4: Create Systems
As the original design of the Clinician Dashboard pointed to a lack of universal design systems in the Anima App, I thought it best to get the new design on track by developing the systems before finalising a design. By doing so, I was able to create reusable assets and components that could link user flows and ensure design consistency.

Step 5: Address all the issues
After mocking up my version of the design, I made sure to return to the drawing board and verify that I had addressed the identified issues and ensure there weren't other issues I had overlooked. Of course, I believe there is always a better design out there, but I was happy with where I had taken this iteration.
